Company Secretary (CS), and Cost and Management Accountant (CMA)
require strong academic commitment and financial backing. To support deserving students,
various scholarship schemes by ICAI, ICSI, and ICMAI are available.
Important Update: ICAI has announced a revised and enhanced scholarship scheme
effective from 1st January 2026, with higher monthly amounts, wider income eligibility,
and inclusion of Foundation-level students.
ICAI Scholarship for CA Students (Latest Update – Effective from 1 Jan 2026)
The ICAI Scholarship Scheme provides financial assistance to CA students at
Foundation, Intermediate, and Final levels based on merit or financial need.
Applications are accepted year-round through the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP).
Who Can Apply?
- Students registered for CA Foundation, Intermediate, or Final
- Eligibility based on:
- Merit: Need based
- Need-based: Parental income ≤ ₹5,00,000 per annum
Scholarship Amounts (Effective from 1 January 2026)
- CA Foundation: ₹1,500 per month for up to 4 months
- CA Intermediate: ₹2,500 per month for up to 14 months
- CA Final: ₹2,500 per month for up to 24 months

1. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
- Eligibility:
- Passed CS Foundation or both groups of Executive
- Cleared in first attempt without exemptions
- Self-income ≤ ₹36,000 per annum
- Family income ≤ ₹48,000 per annum
- Amount: Varies (generally covers tuition and exam fees)

2. Merit Scholarship (CS)
- Awarded based on All-India merit ranking
- Applicable to first-attempt pass students without exemptions
Scholarships for CMA Aspirants (ICMAI)

- Passed qualifying exam in first attempt
- Minimum required aggregate marks as prescribed by ICMAI
- Independent income ≤ ₹1,00,000
- Family income ≤ ₹2,00,000
- Amount: ₹400 per month for 6 months
- Application Fee: ₹500 (one-time)
CMA Final Scholarship
- Eligibility: Passed Intermediate in first attempt (with or without exemption)
- Amount: ₹600 per month for 6 months
- Application Fee: ₹750
