Born into a family where politics was daily life.
His mother: 3-time BJP MLA. His father: Union Minister of Shipping under Vajpayee.
He could have coasted. He chose to qualify.
November 1982 — The Doubt
He was on the verge of skipping his CA Final exam.
"Itni taiyari nahi hui hai — result accha nahi aayega."
He thought: skip this attempt, appear next time.
One friend changed everything.
The Friend Who Pushed Him
His friend asked: why are you not appearing?
"Nahi, you can do it. Go for it."
That was enough. He made up his mind.
He locked himself in a room for a month and a half.
One Month. One Room. One Goal.
No distractions. No outings. Pure focus.
"I had locked myself up in a room for about a month and a half."
To get an All India Rank, both groups had to be cleared together in one attempt.
He went for it.

Piyush Goyal became the first CA to present India's Union Budget.
