ICAI Self-Paced Online Modules:

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) requires CA Final students to complete Self-Paced Online Modules (SPOM) as part of their exam preparation. There are four SPOM modules: Set A (Corporate and Economic Laws), Set B (Strategic Cost and Performance Management), Set C (Elective), and Set D (Multidisciplinary).

These modules are accessible through ICAI’s Learning Management System (LMS) portal. Each module has specific learning hours, and students must pass an online test with at least 50% marks to qualify.

Students preparing for the CA Final exams in 2024 need to finish these SPOMs. No separate registration or fee is required for these modules. ICAI SPOM Registration

Once candidates complete their ICAI CA Final registration for 2024, their Self-Paced Online Modules (Strategic Performance Management) registration is automatically processed. Students enrolled in the CA Final course can take the SPOM exams at their convenience—whenever and wherever they prefer. There is no additional fee for the ICAI Self-Paced Online Modules.

 SPOM Learning Process

• SPOM study materials are accessible through the ICAI Board of Studies (BoS) Knowledge Portal.
• ICAI also provides physical copies of the study materials for all Self-Paced Online Modules.
• In addition, video lectures from subject experts are available to enhance learning.
• ICAI has introduced a new digital learning platform called the ICAI Digital Learning Hub, which integrates with the Learning Management System (LMS).
• To be eligible for the SPOM exams, candidates must complete the required learning hours first.

SPOM Passing Criteria

For ICAI’s Self-Paced Online Modules courses, students need to meet certain criteria to pass. Set A and B are compulsory, and students must pass Sets C and D unless they have an exemption. Here’s what you need to know about passing:

• Minimum Score: You need to score at least 50% in each module to pass.
• Attempts: You can attempt the SPOM exams as many times as needed.
• Marking: There is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the SPOM courses.

Step 2: Login with OTP: If you’re a registered student, you can log in using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number with the Self-Service Portal (SSP) of ICAI.
